The GL&D Galaxi HY100 – HY120 Hydraulic Powered Woodchipper range consists of specialist machines designed for mounting on Avant, Weidemann or similar loaders as well as Cormidi Skidsteers etc. It is also possible for them to be used on other similar style loaders. There are two models within the range:HY100 – 100mm capacity – 40 litres per minute oil flow requiredHY120 – 120mm capacity – 60 litres per minute oil flow requiredChipping is carried out by a 600mm diameter flywheel fitted with four replaceable adjustable blades. Material is fed into the flywheel by means of twin hydraulically powered rollers. Power for these is provided by the machines on board hydraulic system. The system features a pump driven by the loaders hydraulic system.In addition, the feed of material into the flywheel is controlled by a “No-Stress” system. This monitors the speed of the flywheel to keep it between two pre-set parameters. As a result, if it’s speed drops below the lower setting, feed to the flywheel is stopped.
